PMT Team in Croatia - final
Yesterday at 1 pm we finally got to Rogoznica- Marina Frappa in Croatia. Than we had 2 hours training on Firs 7.5 – Croatian boat which we had sailed for the firs time. It turned out to work well in match racing despite the size of sails.
Races took place in a small bay, covered from strong wind and the weather conditions were ideal for us to sail: 2-3B, flat water and sun- a little too strong for us. There was provided a big yacht for crews waiting for their races and changes were made on the water.
The start of the firs race was after 11 am. We were doing 2,3,4,8,9,10 flights of round robin 1 but the race cometee decided to stop racing after 9 flight.
Our first match was against Portugal team (48 in ISAF women ranking) from the blue side: won.
Second match with croatian team - blue side. Won prestart, well sailed until the end.
Next match we raced against experienced sailor - Vanesa Dekleva (470 olimpic sailor) - blue. We crossed the finish line right after her.
Than we matched with the best ranked in Croatia Petra Klibe (39 in ISAF women ranking). We started with an overlap on her windward and made her tack. To windward mark we gained the lead and won the match.
Our last match of the day against Marina Frappa team : won.
Tomorrow we’re finishing round robin 1 and go on with RR 2.
