Polish Team in Estonia - final
PMT/adresuj.com team with Kuba Pawluk (skipper), Jakub Wierusz (main), Romek Główka (trimmer) and Krzysztod Mongird (bowman) take part in practice today.

Regatta takes place in estonian spa city Parnu. 10 teams will compete in Blue Sail24 boat. Top seeded skippers are Olli-Pekka Lumijärvi (FIN, 31 ISAF), Robert Nyberg (FIN, 58), Mati Sepp (EST, 60) and Peter Nicholas (AUS, nr 90) known from Polish Match Tour events in Gizycko and Szczecin. Polish Team is seeded with no 5.

Match Racing World Cup Regatta - Estonia Open Match Race has finished.
Polish crew Polish Match Tour / adresuj.com Sailing Team took fifth overall, finishing Round Robin in tie with the fourth team.

On Saturday races were carried out under variable wind strength from 1 to 4 B. The direction of the wind forced racing across the approach channel to the Parnu Yacht Club. Consequently, the RC decided to extend the race course to three laps. The first race Polish team sailed against local crew with skipper Mati Sepp (no. 60 in the ISAF skippers ranking). Estonian crew took the lead, not giving it to the finish line, despite many attacks. In second race, the Poles faced with the Finnish crew, led by Robert Nyberg (no. 58 in the rankings.) Result might be quite different, if any of crew had noticed race course change:) The next race for Poles was the one with the team of Alar Volmer (EST), which had been re-started after a big wind shift. Despite the problems with the spinnaker pole Polish team has won. Because of the spi-pole, the next race, with Riskim Tuomas (FIN) was started with spinnakers, but without the spi-poles. Polish team won the race giving two penalties to opponent. Finally, the Poles finished day with the result of 4-2.
The plan for Sunday was to complete the Round Robin and proceed with finals and semifinals. The marina welcomed all with the beautiful, sunny weather and moderate wind, with the direction along the approach channel to Parnu. It result that RC has set a fairly long tour with two laps. Starting buoys were set to extension of a pontoon and the head judge was keeping the eye on everything from pontoons’ end.

There were some delays due to the large carriers approaching to Parnu. Polish team in the first run sail against known from Polish Match Tour events team skippered by Peter Nicholas (AUS, # 90 ISAF skippers ranking). Crew from down under took the lead, not giving it to the end. Another interesting match was against Russian Team skippered by Petr Kochnev. Despite the clever tricks at the beginning of prestart, the Russians didn’t gained control and were consistently pushed into the left edge of prestart. At the start they had to tack on port and starboard Polish team gave them a penallty. Slightly lead of Poles from the start was kept till the finishing line, despite many attacks of Russian Team.
In other race against Finish crew of Olli-Pekka Lumijärvi (no. 31 ranking skippers ISAF) a small lead of Finland (about 1 boat length) was kept will the downwind mark, when some problems with hosting jib on polish yacht had lead to significant advantage of Scandinavian guys, which was kept till the end.
Finally, Poles has finished the regatta in fifth place
Finnish skipper Olli-Pekka Lumijärvi won the event, Robert Nyberg (FIN) took 2nd and 3rd went to Peter Nicholas (AUS), who already had announced his arrival to Polish Match Tour this year:)

Estonia Open Match Race was held in the Estonian resort of Parnu. Races were sail on yachts Blu24, and the regatta course was set up at approach channel to the Parnu Yacht Club.
